William B. Hanley is admitted to practice before all courts of the state of California, including all federal district courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Hanley is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a member of the American Bar Association, and the California, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Federal Courts Bar Associations. Mr. Hanley is also a member of the California and Orange County Trial Lawyer associations, as well as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
Mr. Hanley has successfully represented both individuals and businesses in litigation over the past three decades, covering a wide variety of legal matters including the following:
- obtaining insurance coverage in business disputes for companies that had been sued
- obtaining verdicts of $1 million and more, including punitive damages, for various individuals in a number of claims
- defending clients in a multitude of transactions, including recovery of attorneys’ fees
- representing companies in defense environmental claims, including obtaining insurance coverage for attorneys’ fees
- representing companies in matters of unfair competition, patent infringement, and related claims

Mr. Hanley has been practicing law since 1974. He is married with three children. He received his B.A. degree in political science at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1968. He received his J.D. degree from Pepperdine University School of Law, Malibu, California, in 1974.
